The problem with a list like that is that you suddenly think "Oh, my God, I have no time to re-read any of these books!" Nonetheless, I do re-read favourites. And I read outside the list. Can't help myself. I guess that means I won't chip away at the list as quickly as I would like.

And as I said, some books on the list I have no intention of reading.

Goodness gracious me! I am suddenly aware of my mortality reviewing all those books I will never get around to.

I read War & Peace last year and really felt drawn to re-read it immediately as I thought the first reading, especially the first chapters' had sort of pasted me by.

But then I recalled all the other 'greats' on my list of 'yet to read' and I moved on...... :-(
