Fun with numbers
I’m a writer. This means I mostly use the right side of my brain, and numbers have never been of the slightest interest with me. In fact, I pretty much hate them, from one to a googleplex and beyond.
Some people, however, love them. They love them enough to find what’s unique about them such as this:
Consider an n-digit number k. Square it and add the right n digits to the left n or n-1 digits. If the resultant sum is k, then k is called a Kaprekar number.
Kaprekar? Sounds like a name I’d use for a planet. Hey, I might even use it, even if I don’t understand what the definition means.
However, if you are someone who likes numbers, you might want to check out What’s Special About This Number?
